Choosing your venue is one of the first contract-signing decisions you will likely make in planning a wedding. It’s important because it not only sets the tone for your day, but also determines your date (and subsequently your anniversary for the rest of your life. I found this weird, anyone else?) Most other vendors aren’t interested in talking business until you have your date picked out and depending where you live and how picky you are, venues tend to book up many months, (sometimes a year or more) in advance. So if you’ve been engaged for a few months now and are thinking of planning a wedding for this year, stop reading this and go research venues. If you’re planning a wedding for next year, read this and then go research venues.
